Are You Stirring Your Customers to Buy Foreclosure Property as an Investment?

With so many foreclosure properties appearing in almost every segment of the nation, the opportunity for real estate investors to buy a property that can be rented and perhaps sold later for a profit seems inevitable.

This certainly appears to what’s currently happening. Many investment groups seemingly are standing around and ready to buy residential real estate in financial trouble or foreclosure with the full expectation that the property can generate a tidy profit.

So are you? Are you alerting your customers that they can pull some of the money they have stored under their mattress (where it’s losing buying buyer daily) and invest it into a property that can become a rental property and potentially make them a significant return?

If not, then you should. Start by calling your customers and suggesting the idea. If they’re receptive, see what you can find and do a cash flow and rate of return analysis for them using ProAPOD’s real estate investment software. It just seems like a smart way to make money all around and perhaps gain you a real estate investor in the process.

Are You Interested in Real Estate News and Articles?

In addition to maintaining my real estate investment software program, I recently started a website using rss feeds to collect real estate news and real estate articles from around the web. I did this because many real estate investors and agents would like to stay caught up on the events surrounding real estate but often have no idea where to look, or simply don’t want to spend the time jumping around various websites collecting the information.

Here’s how it works.

The site provides headlines for real estate news and real estate articles in an easy-to-view format so you can stay informed on a daily basis. Only the headline and a small excerpt are posted (not the entire article). But you can click on any headline to go to the source of the rss feed and read more from there.

This should be of particular interest to those of you who are frequently looking for real estate articles for your newsletters. In addition to real estate investing articles, you will find articles about financing, foreclosures, land purchase, and real estate marketing. It’s impossible for me to manually edit each post so some articles might not be specific to real estate investment issues, but there should be enough articles posted on a daily basis for you to find something of interest.

This is a new concept for me, and the site is still undergoing changes, so please feel free to offer suggestions. In the meantime, visit the website and feel free to dig in.

Are Tenants Paying Closer Attention to Apartment Amenities?

In an article released today by RISMedia, apartment tenants are staying closer to home in this budget-conscious economy and as a result are now considering apartment amenities and on-site community features increasingly more important than in previous years according to an Apartment.com national survey.

Citing the survey, the article states that the most important apartment amenities sought after by tenants are air conditioning, balcony, porch and yard, swimming pool, in-unit washer and dryer and Internet access; going on to suggest that managed apartment properties and communities may fill more vacancies by promoting popular amenities and on-site community features in advertised listings.
